Show News in Brief By Marileen Austin Miss Ann Thorley Is spending a couple of weeks visiting with her grandmother In Cedar City. Her grandmother Is Mrs. Dewle Thorley. Mr. and Mrs. II. Lane Austin aic up from Las Vegas, Nev., where they have been living for the past year. The Austins expect ex-pect to stay until the end of the week before they return home. ' Mrs. Nellie Moyle and daughter daugh-ter are going to take Miss Sheila Shei-la Foster of Las Vegas and the Misses Shirley Twitchell, Jere-! Jere-! lynne Bowler and Sheryl Holt, all of Enterprise to Salt Lake City to participate In the MIA dance festival to be held this week end. Thev expect to return on Sunday. Miss Evaline Hunt Is in Mesa, Arizona staying with her brother broth-er and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Jack E. Moyle will travel to Salt Lake City for the annual LDS conference. Dennis Barlocker's fiancee. Miss Lue Deen Swenson of Salt Lake City, has been visiting with Dennis and his parents, the Arnold Ar-nold Barlockers. Mrs. Uriah Jones and daughter daugh-ter Sophia went to Kanab on Monday where they helped in the preparations for Mrs. Jones' niece, Mrs. Susann Chamberlain Parker's wedding on Sat irday. Uriah Jones traveled to Kanab of Saturday to attend the wedding. wed-ding. Dennis Barlocker will attend the summer camp of the Utah National Guard at Camp Williams Wil-liams for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Scott and family have moved into their new home. Their other home was burned down last Dec. 23. Miss Rose Ann Moyle Is home from college on a between quarters quar-ters vacations. She will probably be here about a week. Mrs. Harriet Jones took her 1 daughter Sophia on a trip to Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Bennett of Las Vegas were up here visiting frionrU nvpr the week end. Mrs. Edith Force and her daughter Eleanor an 1 Mrs. Katherine Hyde attended the installation in-stallation of officers of the Cal-lente, Cal-lente, Nev., B P W Club Sunday i evening. Both Mrs. Force and Mrs. Hyde are members of the Caliente chapter, and both nrei I officers of the Southern Nevada District, Mrs. Force serving ns district director, and Mrs. Hyde j as district corresponding secre-l ' tary. j Tom Anzalone, who suffered a heart attack recently, has re i turned home from the hosnital again after suffering a relapsej last week. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Moyle and Mr. and Mrs. Craig Clark traveled to Ogden and Prove-last Prove-last week to visit relatives. Dewey G. Godard had an acci-dent acci-dent last week. It seems he pulled pull-ed several ribs loose and now he Is bedridden. The Godards art? very hard on ribs as a couple of weeks ago Mrs. Selma Godard broke three of her ribs. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Fife and Mr. and Mrs. Don Applegate attended attend-ed the Lions Club convention in Ogden last week from Thursday to Sunday. Lion Otto is the president presi-dent of the Escalante Valley Lions Club and Lion Don is the Immediate past president. Mrs. Lottie Hopkins of Long Beach, Calif., has been visiting? with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson for the past week. Mrs. Allen Armstead has been visiting around the valley for a few days. Jack Godard went to the graduation grad-uation exercises at the University Universi-ty of Utah to see his girl friend.
