Show Harold Capners Feted By Cedar City Friends Visiting in Cedar City last week before taking off on a flying fly-ing trip to India were Dr. and Mrs. Harold Capner and their three sons. The home of Herbert Haight was the scene for the reunion re-union with his daughter, her husband and family who have resided until recently at Columbus, Colum-bus, Ohio, where Dr. Capner is a Professor of Sociology at the Ohio State University. The family are at present taking a short stopover stop-over in Garland with Dr. Cap-ner's Cap-ner's parents before they continue con-tinue on to San Francisco where they will enplane May 29 bound for India. Dr. Capner will be under un-der contract through Ohio State University with the International Internation-al Cooperation Administration fur a two year assignment at the Agricultural University in Lud-htona Lud-htona Punjab, India. His main interests will be In teaching and training the Indian leaders in methods of raising the health standards and the level of family fam-ily living. The family is looking forward to stop-overs in Hawaii, Hong Kong, Saigon, and New Delhi be-for be-for arriving at their new home. Following the two year tour of duty, Dr. Capner and family will once again reside in Columbus, Colum-bus, Ohio, where he will resume his duties with the University. The Capner's were the object of several parties given by friends before their dparture. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Cowan entertained at dinner on Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Max Cowan, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Dobson, Mr. and Mrs. Gail Duncan, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Hey-borne Hey-borne and Mr.andMrs.KentDover. on hand to bid the guests of honor "Bon Voyage." The travelers travel-ers were also entertained at dinner din-ner bv Dr. and Mrs. Royden C. Braithwaite and Mr. and Mrs. I Gail Duncan before their departure. |
