Show Local Steel Workers ' Choose Scholarship Winners Local No. 2751, United Steel Workers, has selected a young man from Hurricane and another from Parowan, as recipients of the scholarships given each year to sons or daughters of Union members for outstanding scholastic scholas-tic accomplishment. Recipients this year, the second year the scholarships have been available, are Gerald Wilson of Hurricane, and Ralph E. Watson Wat-son of Parowan. Wilson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Wilson and Watson a son of Mr. and Mrs.. Wood row Watson. Each of the scholarships is for $150.00, to be used at the school of the recipient's choice. The scholarships are offered annually. However, if in any year no son or daughter of a union un-ion iramhir is niialified for the award, $100 will be contributed to the College of Southern Utah scholarship fund. The scholarships will be paid in two installments, $75 at the .time the student enrolls and the balance at the beginning of the second quarter. |
