Show Jaycee-Ettes Sponsor Convention Activities Cedar City was filled with excitement ex-citement and color last weekend as the Jaycees gathered from all points for their annual conven-j tion. Other than the mectlngsj and parties attended with their' husbands, the Jaycee-Ettes had some notable activities of their own. The local Jaycee-Ettes en- tertained at a beautifully arranged ar-ranged tea which was held FrI-j day in the lovely gardens of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Chrlstensen. The attractive hors 'doeuvre smorgasbord table was decorated with a floral arrangement of yellow yel-low tulips, iris and daisies, with crystal candelabra and yellowi candles on cither side. Two crystal crys-tal punch bowls completed the, lovely setting. The gardens took on an especially festive air with the yellow and white umbrella tables placed about the lawn. Mrs. Richard T. Brown was chairman chair-man with numbers of the club assisting for the successful convention con-vention activity which was staged stag-ed to pay special honor to the wives of the Jaycee officers from throughout the State. Another outstanding feature of I the convention from the feminine point of view was the fashion show which was staged on Saturday Sa-turday at the Stake House. The ladies enjoyed a delicious lunch-! lunch-! eon as they were entertained by Master of Ceremonies Eugene T. Woolf. "Straight Into Fashion" was presented by Sonoma's with models from Cedar City and northern Utah cities showing some of the latest creations of fashion. Special numbers by Bur-dete Bur-dete Baldwin, the Tamettes, and J Heber Lund on his accordionn were presented during the enjoy-I enjoy-I able afternoon. |
