Show Parowan Teacher Will Speak Marriage Vows i $ f -'- ' . . t ' ' ' Vl f & - MISS HAZEL MEEKS Announcement has been made of the approaching marriage of Miss Hazel Meeks, teacher in thej Parowan Elementary School for the past year, to Mr. Robert R. Doerr, with the marriage to be, solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple on Friday, May 30. Miss Meeks is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward O. Meeks of Cowley, Wyo., and her future! husband is a son of Mr and Mrs. Carl J. Doerr, both deceasl, of Lovell, Wyo. Following their wedding and a honeymoon trip, the new Mr. and Mrs. Doerr will be honored j at a reception on Monday, June 9 at the home of Scott Harrison ! southwest of Lovell, Wyo. ! Miss Meeks came to Parowan last fall to become a teacher in the elementary school, following her graduation from Brigham Young University. In addition to her work in school, she has been active in the LDS church auxiliaries. auxil-iaries. An outstanding vocalist, she has entertained at numerous numer-ous events with her singing and has acted as soloist for the Third Ward choir during the winter. Mr. Doerr is a also a graduate of B Y U and has been coaching coach-ing at the Lyman, Wyo. high school for the past four years, where his basketball teams have been consistent winners.
