Show Parowan Students Gain Honors At College Exercises Six Parowan students are listed list-ed among the graduates of the College of Southern Utah who will be honored at exercises on Thursday evening, May 29 at rites in the college auditorium. Three of these will receive bachelor ba-chelor of science degrees for four years of study and three will le-ceive le-ceive associates in science degrees de-grees for completion of the two year course there. Four year graduates are Miss Mama Heap, Mrs. Mariam P. Lister and George R. Williams. Miss Heap, wc under stand will be a teacher In the Parowan elementary ele-mentary next year and Mrs. Lister Lis-ter and Mr. Williams, who completed com-pleted their studies in the summer sum-mer of 1957, have been teaching here this past winter. Two year graduates from Parowan Paro-wan are Spencer D. Adams, Milo Janus Miller and Charles Top-ham. Top-ham. Two other graduating stu dents at CSU are graduates of Parowan High School, George D. Morris and James R. Talbot. Morris Mor-ris is now married and lives in Cedar City and Talbot is a Para-gonah Para-gonah resident. Three more Parowan students will receive honors and scholarships scholar-ships at the honors and awards convocation at CSU Sunday, May 25 at 2 p. m. At this time Stuart Adams will receive a specif' award for his work in athletics, Lyman Munford will receive a scholarship to the Utah State University in education, and Ar-lene Ar-lene Holyoak will receive a home economics scholarship, to continue contin-ue her studies. |
