Show Whatcott Appointed Polio Fund Drive Chairman Organization for the Iron County Coun-ty Tolio Fund drive, held each year during the month of January, Janu-ary, got under way this week with the appointment of A. E. Whatcott as county chairman. Whatcott indicated that organization organ-ization of the communities has already gotten under way. Friday evening, Dec. 10, a meeting has been called for all county fund drive workers and members of the Iron County Polio chapter. It will be held at Hotel El Escalante, Whatcott stated. Attending this meeting will be Dr. Creed Haymond, state Polio chairman, his wife and a special nurse. They will coordinate the activities of Iron County and the communities of this area with the state program. Goal foi this year has not yet been announced, but research costs and preventative measures j will make the goal as high as or higher than in the past, Whatcott What-cott indicated. |
