Show Warren H. Bulloch Purchases Thornton Drug Store As a result of a business transaction tran-saction completed this week between be-tween Warren H. Bulloch of Cedar Ce-dar City and the William Thornton Thorn-ton family, Mr. Bulloch purchased pur-chased the Thornton Drug Store and Coffee Shop and will take over the ownership of the business busi-ness on the first of the year. The store has been operated by the Thornton family as one of a chain of stores throughout Utah, all of which have now been disposed of with the exception of the store in American Fork, the original store of the chain. The building which the store has occupied since it was established es-tablished here is owned by Mr. lulloch, and the crmpany has ented the space on a lease basis. ba-sis. Ir. announcing the purchase of the drug store and coffee shop business, Mr. Bulloch states that about the only immediate change 'hat will be made when he takes possession will be in the name. On the first of the year the business busi-ness will become "Bulloch's" instead in-stead of "Thornton's" as it has been known throughout the years. Insofar as is known now no change will be made at the firm. Gordon Christensen, it is expected, expect-ed, will remain as general manager man-ager of the business and continue contin-ue to operate the drug depar-ment, depar-ment, while Steve Asmus will continue to operate the coffee shop and cafe department of the business. Mr. Bulloch, of course, will act in a supervisory capacity, capa-city, as the Thorntons have done in the past. |
