Show Theatre Manager Announces Remodeling Features Carl Rummler, manager of the Firmage Theatre in Parowan, announces an-nounces that a remodeling program pro-gram which has been going on at the theatre for the past several weeks is now nearing complet-tion complet-tion and will provide for the showing of the new wide-screen pictures, including cinemascope and Vistivision. The new screen Is a R C A Dy-nalite Dy-nalite vinyl plastic, size 13 feet eight inches by 23 feet eight Inches, In-ches, which is nearly double the size of the old screen, and completely com-pletely fills the enlarged pres-senium. pres-senium. It cost $1,000 and is installed in-stalled in a frame of wood and steel. It will accommodate all present type picture ratios, including in-cluding standard wide screen, Cinemascope and Vistivision. New lenses have been installed Including Wollinsak Paxtar wide angle lens for wide screen pictures, pic-tures, and Super Panatax, variable varia-ble anamorphic lens for showing cinemascopic productions. These were installed at a cost of $1200. In addition to this a new automatic automa-tic curtain has been installed. All of these improvement are now in use at the Firmage, and wide-screen wide-screen pictures are now being shown. That portion of the remodel-,ing remodel-,ing job yt to be completed is 'on the marquee in front of the show hous' This will be rebuilt to permit the placing of the 'picture which is being run with the featured players being shown 1 also. |
