Show Voter League Continues Fast Pace Growth At a general meeting of the Cedar Ce-dar City chapter of the League of Women Voters, held at El Es-calante Es-calante hotel Monday, officers were introduced, a budget was approved, reports were given and plans for meetings and other activities ac-tivities were laid. Mrs. William Burton, president, presided. Mrs. Burton announced that meetings will begin next week, with two unit meetings to be held in the Bootstrap theatre at the Branch Agricultural college, Tuesday, March 24. Unit one will meet at 10 a. m. under the direction di-rection of Mrs. Walter K. Granger, Gran-ger, and unit two will convene at 7:30 p. m. under the direction direc-tion of Miss Jennie B. Jones. At the meeting Tuesday Mrs. Max Whitney, chairman of International Inter-national Relations research, presented pre-sented question to be discussed at unit meetings. Mrs. E. H. Hearrell, chairman of the Town survey, discussed the progress of the program. Assisting chairmen announced included Mrs. Robert Goodwin, Mrs. E. J. Lampman, Mrs. Frank Qulnn and Mrs. D. C. Schmutz. The local organization is expanding ex-panding with the membership and attendance increasing steadily. |
