Show Federal Inspections Scheduled by AFROTC University Hqr., AFROTC. Ala. Annal Federal inspections of the 209 AFROTC detachments throughout through-out the nation. Puerto Rico and Hawaii are now under way and will continue through May 28, Brigadier General M. K. Deich-elmann, Deich-elmann, AFROTC Commandant, announced this week. This will mark the first time the inspections have been carried out under the supervision of the newly created AFROTC Headquarters Head-quarters of the Air University, located in Montgomery, Ala. Prior to August 19"i2 the AFROTC AF-ROTC was under the jurisdiction of the Continental Air Command, mand. "Since the AFROTC detachments are divided into 10 regional areas of about 21 schools each, 10 liaison teams with jurisdiction over these divisions are conducting conduct-ing the Inspections. The teams, however, have exchanged areas of the inspection period. The primary purpose of the inspection in-spection is to examine the training, train-ing, both in the classroom and on the drill field, of the 145.000 AFROTC Cadets now enrolled in American universities, and to note any deficiencies and difficulties diffi-culties which need correction in each unit. Teaching procedures, adequacy of Instructor facilities, effectiveness effective-ness of instructors and general military' bearing of the cadets are some of the points on which each detachment will be graded. grad-ed. Approximately two days will be spent at each institution, with the inspecting teams in most cases reviewing the corps of cadets ca-dets on parade. The inspectors will also scrutinize scru-tinize the administration and supply methods of each unit and discuss the AFROTC program pro-gram with school and local officials. of-ficials. Members of the liaison groups, who as the personal representatives represen-tatives of General Deichelmann, have already made two, and in some cases, three visits to each detachment in their areas since the new AFROTC headquarters opened.
