Show Sarah Jane Evans Succumbs at Residence Sunday Mrs. Sarah Jane Page Evans, 78, and lifetime resident of this city passed away at her home here on Sunday as the result of infirmities of her age. She has been in poor health for several years. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed for her on Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the chapel at the Southern Utah Mortuary in Cedar City with the Reverand William Burton Bur-ton of the Cedar City Community Communi-ty Presbyterian church in charge. Following the services the body was brought to Parowan for in terment in the city cemetery-Mrs. cemetery-Mrs. Evans was born Oct 31, 1874, a daughter of Daniel and Liza Jane Marsden Page, she was married to F. V. Evans of Parowan. Paro-wan. He died eight years ago. She was the mother of seven daughters, five of whom survive her. They are Mrs: Garfield Clark, Cedar City; Mrs. Waldo Seigfus, San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. R. Jaenisch, North Hollywood, California; Cal-ifornia; Mrs. James M. Kennedy, Burbank, Calif., and Mrs. Morris Rasmussen, Parowan. Also surviving sur-viving are eight grandchildren. |
