In the near future the members mem-bers of the board will meet to name a president, vice president and secretary to serve during the coming year, and the officers will be announced at the next meeing of the club on April 27. The holdover members of the board are Ianthus Wright, president; pres-ident; Edwin L. Peterson, secretary; secre-tary; Parley Dalley, Arvilla Day, Gordon Christensen and Dr. F. B. Parkinson. At the meeting last night the guest speaker, Ray Brock, well i known newspaperman, author and traveler, made the dire prediction pre-diction that "war is not only inevitable, in-evitable, but eminent". He then went on to say that "eminent", could mean, "a few weeks, or a few months, but certainly not more than a year, and", he continued, con-tinued, "we will be very fortunate if we postpone the opening of the j third world war until the end of July of this year." I The repeated aggression of Russia which the free world "can not tolerate farther", were riven as the reason for his predictions, together with the fact that bun- ' gling on the part of past administrations admin-istrations in the United Siat'; government had iniled aggres- ' ? ion and disrespect. |
