Show Associated Civic Clubs Set Meeting The monthly meeting of the Associated Civic Clubs of Southern South-ern and Eastern Utah will be held at St. George on Saturday, Mar. 28, according to Kumen L Jones, Cedar City, association president. The executive board will meet at 10:30 a. m. The afternoon meeting for directors, members and the general public pub-lic will convene at 2 p. m. in the courtroom of the Washington County courthouse. The day's activities will conclude with a banquet in the evening. The meeting will be of interest to all citizens in the area of southern and eastern Utah as reports re-ports will be made regarding legislation that was passed and became law at the 1953 session of the State Legislature. Also at the meeting problems of the approaching 1953 tourist season will be discussed. President Jones will have an important message to give to club members. Gordon Clark, St. George, chairman of the advertising adver-tising committee, together with his committee members, will present pre-sent an advertising program for 1953 for approval. Jera Id Irvine, Salt Lake City, legal counsel for the Utah Power and Light company, com-pany, will be at the meeting to discuss urgent problems and will also be the featured speaker at the evening banquet. The public is invited to attend the meeting and offer any constructive con-structive suggestions that will help to promote and build a bigger big-ger and better rural Utah. |
