Pioneers Reset Virgin River Trek for March 21 Plans have been completed for the Cedar City chapter, Sons of Utah Pioneers, for the trek to the Upper Virgin River to be made Saturday, March 21, according to W. Arthur Jones, chapter president. presi-dent. The first stop of the trek will ir iuouc ii virgin ui iu a. m., and from there the group will go to Duncan's Retreat, and on to Grafton, with the final stop to be made at Shunsberg, the underground hideout for polyga-' mists in the pioneer days of southern Utah. At each stop a brief history of the particular town or spot, will be given by individuals familiar with the background and pioneer people of the area. Luncheon will be held at Shunsberg. Everyone interested in making the trek is invited to join with the group and meet at Virgin at 10 a. m. |
