Show Reception Honors Couple After Temple Wedding A wedding reception, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Norman AdaSs, was held Friday, July 14, in the Third ward recreation hall in Cedar City. The young couple exchanged marriage vows in a ceremony performed at the St. George LDS temple on July 11. The bride is the former Mis3 Veda Ellen Kenney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. Glen Kenney of Cedar City. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh L. Adams of Parowan. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Nana Roberts, Portland, Ore., a sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Karl Kenney, Cedar City, and Mrs. Mont Kenney, Salt Lake City, sisters-in-law of the bride. A brother of the groom, Roy Adams, was best man. During the reception, a musical musi-cal program was presented with vocal solos by Maj. Oliver Har-lis Har-lis and Wallace Adams. Violin solos were rendered by Prof. Roy L. Halversen. Virginia Larson accompanied ac-companied Maj. Harris and Prof. Halversen, while Norma Edwards accompanied Mr. Adams. Dancing Danc-ing followed the program. The parents of the bride and groom were both present and were in the receiving line Mrs. Iris Noble was in charge of refreshments, with Miss Diane Di-ane Tueller, Miss Janice Jepp-son, Jepp-son, Miss Orel Merryweather and Miss Barbara Grimshaw serving. Touring were Anna and Eva Adams. Assisting in the gift room were Mrs. Barbara Bryant and Mrs. Lucile Ence, Cedar City, and Miss Marilyn Ronnow, Panaca, Nevada. The bride and groom are making mak-ing their home in Cedar City until un-til September when the groom will enroll in the University of Utah. |
