Show Last Rites Held For Former Cedar City Resident Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p. m. in the Miners-ille Miners-ille ward chapel for George Baker, 71, form reresident of Cedar Ce-dar City, who died Wednesday morning at the Iron County hospital hos-pital of a lingering illness. Mr. Baker had been engaged in farming at Minersville until 10 years ago when he retired. He was born on July 12. 1879 at Minersville, a son of George and Mary Ann Evans Baker. In 1903. he married Mary Anne Un-thank Un-thank at Cedar City. They made their home in Cedar City until 1914 when they moved to Minersville. Min-ersville. Survivors are his widow of Minersville, one son, Melvin Baker, Bak-er, Caliente, Nev.; three daugh ters, Mrs. Irva Goodwin, Battle Mountain, Nev.; Mrs. Neta Goodwin, Good-win, Pioche, Nev.; Mrs. LaPriel White, Compton, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Tinder. Inglewood, Calif, and 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Burial will be in the Minersville Miners-ville cemetery under the direction direc-tion of the Southern Utah mortuary. |
