Show Promise of Future Seen in Economic State Development Hope for the future of the state, its way of life, was held out in the State Economic Development De-velopment clinic, held in Salt Lake City and sponsored by the Utah committee on Industrial and Employment Planning. The meet attracted more than 200 of the state's industrial, civic, government, gov-ernment, labor and agricultural leaders and was keynoted by-Governor by-Governor J. Bracken Lee. Among those present were: J. Earl Allen of Panguitch, M. M. Bentley, St. George; Claude Ed-ards. Ed-ards. Cedar City; William G. Hardin, Moab; Arthur Brian, Loa; Milan T. Oldroyd, Richfield; Senator O. C. McShane, Beaver, and Hugh L. Adams, Parowan. The clinic made plans on a statewide basis to cooperate with local communities in the promotion promo-tion of the establishment of new and expanded Industries in the smaller communities, by providing provid-ing advice, information and briefs on a state basis to supplement supple-ment the local communities' own promotion of their own attractions, attrac-tions, their natural resources and their industrial possibilities. |
