Show Horsemen Point Toward Annual Iron Bowl Races Horsemen in Utah and surrounding sur-rounding states appear to be pointing to the Iron Bowl Race Meet in Cedar on July 28 and 29, according to co-chairmen Chauncey Macfarlane and John McKnight, as the 191 stalls at the track are already reserved and more horses are coming in each day. The meet this year has been cut from three to two days. With the horses which will be available, avail-able, the fans may expect two solid days of good races, according accord-ing to the committee chairmen. As in former years, the meet will be held under the direction of the Utah State Racing Association, Asso-ciation, which furnishes the starting gates for the races. Track condition is reported to be excellent, with a lot of work having been put forth in preparing pre-paring the turf for the meet. Seven or eight races will be run each day beginning at 2:30 p. m., with the possibility of one or two matched races. Some of the better known horses which will be included in the two days of racing are Hea-ly's Hea-ly's Banner, Zion's Pride, Pays Echo. High Kisses. Roxy "S", and Kid Power. There is also a chance that Blitzkrieg may run again this year. |
