Show Funeral Services Held for Charles Maxwell Funeral services were held on Thursday at 2 p. m. In the First ward chapel, with Bishop James Heywood presiding, for Charles B. Maxwell, 75, who died Monday, Mon-day, July 10, in Salt Lake City. The opening prayer was given by Bishop William Snow, with talks by John Anderson, Dr. J. S. Prestwich and Charles R. Hunter. Remarks were given by Bishop Heywood and a poem was read by Bert Langford. The benediction benedic-tion was by Frank Armstrong. A quartet, consisting of Ehvin Armstrong, director; Ivor Jones, George Grimshaw and Henry Grimshaw, sang "Oh My Father". Myles Walker and Ray Cosslett, accompanied by Beth Leigh, sang a duet; "Whispering Hope". Another An-other duet "In The Garden", was sung by Mary Lou Carroll and Mrs. Mary Brinkerhoff. Mrs. Bell Jones was at the organ. Burial was in the Cedar City cemetery, with dedication of the grave by Charles Anderson. |
