Show Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Vera Lundgren Fie x . -; v.., , if - j ....... I I I .. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in the Cedar Second ward chapel Monday afternoon for Mrs. Vera llelfenstine Lundgren, , 40, who died Friday morning in a Salt Lake hospital of nephritis. nephri-tis. Mrs. Lundgren had been in poor health for sometime, and had been seriously ill for more than a month. Mrs. Lundgren was one of twin daughters born to William and Martha llelfenstine at Tucson, Arizona on April 30, 1909. A graduate of the Tucson high school ad the Tempe Teachers college, she taught school at Tucson for ten years. She was married to Roy Lundgren, Lund-gren, prominent southern Utah livestockman on January 16, 1944, and had lived in Cedar City since that time. Since coming to Cedar City she has taken an active ac-tive part in civic and church affairs. af-fairs. Surviving are her husband, a son and daughter, Douglas and Christine Lundgren, of Cedar City; Ci-ty; her twin sister, Mrs. Velma Mundhenke, Glendale, Calif.; another an-other sister, Mrs. Mildred Hatton. Mississippi; a brother, Frank llelfenstine, Globe, Arizona, and her mother, Glendale. The services were conducted by Dr. William Crosby Roos, president pres-ident of the Presbyterian mission in Utah. The opening prayer and talk was given by Rev. John E. Wilson, and the closing talk and benediction by Dr. Ross. Musical numbers included a vocal solo, "In the Garden", by H. M. Neeley and a violin solo by Roy L. Hal-versen. Hal-versen. Organ music was by Mrs. Virginia Larson, who was also accompanist for Mr. Neeley and Mr. Halversen. |
