Show Cedar Man Found Guilty On Morals Charge William II. Bess, 22, Cedar City, was found guilty of the charge of Carnal Knowledge Thursday by a jury In the Fifth Judicial District court In Parowan, and was sentenced yesterday from one to five years In the state prison. Judge Will L. Hoyt pronounced pro-nounced the sentence yesterday in Parowan. Bess Is the second man in two weeks to be found guilty of the same charge. Fay Kddurd.t, also of Cedar City,, pleaded guilty to the charge, and was sentenced to serve a Jail term of from one to five years. Both men were tried on the charge of Carnal Knowl. edge with a female between the ages of 13 and 18. Thomas V. Munford, 20, Cedar City, was brought to trial yesterday yester-day also on the same charge, and the case Is continuing today In Parowan. Vergene W. Munford, 18, a brother bro-ther of Thomas, also facing the same charge, was found to be on parole from the State Industrial Indus-trial school. This Incident violates the conditions of his parole, and he will be returned to the State school. Two Juvenile girls from Cedar City were Involved in the Incidents Inci-dents leading to the charges against all four men. |
