Show Hereford Sale Slated Here For February 21 Important news for all cattlemen cattle-men is the announcement by Vearl A. Peterson, Gunnison, president of the Utah Hereford Association, that only one spring bull sale will be held in southern south-ern Utah this year, with the sale scheduled for Cedar City on Feb-ruary Feb-ruary 21. This will mark the fourth annual an-nual sale in Cedar City. No sale is being held by the association this year In Richfield. All cattle-men cattle-men are urged to attend the sale in Cedar City and make It a success, suc-cess, so they will be continued. The local committee in cnarge of the sale is headed by Lamont Tueller, Iron County agricultural agent. Committee members are Kumen Gardner, Jack Brown, Waldon Isom. Dr. T. Donald Bell, all of Cedar City, and Paul Hafen, St. George. A judging contest for all sale bulls will be held in the morning morn-ing about 10 a. m. The sale In the afternoon will include approximately ap-proximately 50 bulls and four outstanding heifers. Consignors to the Cedar City sale are: Leo Stott, Meadow; C. B. Hawley. Richfield; H. B. Lamb and Bryant Lamb, Wales; Gar. dell Snow, C. H. Snow and Don C. Snow, Ferron; Vearl A. Peterson, Peter-son, Gunnison; Winterton Bros., Kamas; M. & O. Ranches, Emery and Sallna; Delbert Hansen, Redmond; Red-mond; Kemp Robinson, Huntington; Hunting-ton; Sorenson Bros., Emery; C. A. Mattsson, Richfield; R. S. Lusty, Duchesne; Verl Nordfors, Anna-bella, Anna-bella, and Peterson Bros., Delta. The Hereford sale will be held in the livestock barns on the Branch Agricultural college campus. cam-pus. On sale will bp top quality graded range bulls, in addition to a few herd bull prospects and four choice replacement females. Only bulls graded "B" or better will be sold. |
