Show Funeral Services Held for Pintura Resident Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in Toquerville Wednesday afternoon af-ternoon for Archie Edmond Batty, Bat-ty, 59, well known resident of Pintura. Mr. Batty died at the Iron County hospital Friday following fol-lowing a three-day illness from a heart ailment. Mr. Batty, who has resided at Pintura for the past 18 years, has been employed by the state road commission for many years. He was born in Toquerville on January 25, 1891. a son of John and Mary Ann Duffln Batty. He married Mary Isabell Stewart in the St. George Temple in 1911. Besides his widow he is survived surviv-ed by six children: Stewart La-Von La-Von Batty. Cedar City; William Archie Batty, Pintura; Mrs. Pearl Bolander. Orderville; Mrs. Iris Fredericks, Jericho, New York; Mrs. Evelyn Foster, Salt Lake City; Mrs. La Jene Lomph, Cleveland, Cleve-land, Utah. Surviving brothers and sisters are: Esbert Batty, Toquerville; Mathew Batty, Kan-arraville; Kan-arraville; George I. Batty, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Alice Brunn, Salt Lake City and Mrs. Minnie Gardner, Panguitch. Seven grandchildren grand-children also survive. |
