MAGLEBT USAC Alumni Chapter Organized in Cedar A new alumni chapter of the Utah State Agricultural college was organized in Cedar City on Tuesday evening, with V. R. Magleby elected and installed as the first president of the organization. organi-zation. Others who were elected to office of-fice are: Mrs. Ada Dalley Carpenter, Car-penter, vice president; Audrey Haight, secretary; F, LeRoy Walters Wal-ters and Gail Duncan, two-year board members, and John Pendleton Pen-dleton and Norman Adams, one-year one-year board members. Dr. N. A. Pederson, president emeritus of the department of English of the USAC, was the principal speaker at the organizing organiz-ing banquet held in El Escalante hotel. He spoke on the subject of the importance of alumni chapters. The local chapter was granted a charter and organized with 65 people who attended the banquet ban-quet Tuesday night. Also in attendance at-tendance at the banquet were, Leonard W. McDonald, executive execu-tive secretary, USAC Alumni As-sociation; As-sociation; Charles R. Hunter, member of the USAC board of trustees, and Gronway R. Parry, member of the USAC Alumni board. |
