Show MINERSVILLE BOYS AMONG SOLDIERS TAKEN AT CORREGIDOR Among the American prlolonert taken by Japan upon the fall of Corregldor were four boys from Mlnersvllle, according to the best possible information available. The four young men. Royal Wood, Maurice Maur-ice Clothier, George Erlckson and Fred Potter, are believed to have been with General Jonathan Wain-Wright's Wain-Wright's forces when the island fortress fort-ress fell. Word from two of the Mlnersvllle Mlners-vllle boys, Clothier and Erlckson, was received by relatives shortly after General Douglas MacArthur and his party reached Australia, these letters evidently having been brought out by them, but no word was received from Potter and Wood until two weeks ago when Red Cross authorities Indicated that these two boys were on Corregldor, according to a report. |
