Show Campaign Started For Beautification Of Cemetery The Parks and Public Proerty committee of the Cedar City Council Coun-cil repoit that a campaign Is to be started to improve and beautify the city cemetery, and an appeal is made to all lot owners in the cemetery cem-etery to cooperate in the program. The cemetery caretaker, Clarence Cripps, lias been instructed by the council to clean and level all streets and walks, and keep the grass trimmed trim-med on the walks win growing. However, it is felt tli.it this wi'l contribute but little to the apix-arance of the cemetery if all lots are not kept clean and free of weeds. Many lots are kept beautiful by constant care and through the planting plant-ing of grass and shrubs, but the effect ef-fect Is nullified by surrounding lots that are covered with weeds. There are many lots in the cemetery that are uncared for because of the fact that the owners have left Cedar City, but these are not the only lots that need more attention than they are now receiving. It is hoped that much of this work can be completed before Memorial Mem-orial Day, when services will be conducted at the cemetery. |
