Show Five Graduation Exercises FeatureJCommencement Week Commencement week in Cedar City h.is been filled with pleasant activities, featuring five separate graduation exercises, at which a total cf 29ii .students received diplomas di-plomas lor haviiu: completed various var-ious phases of the educational work, and many of them have received special awards lor outstanding service ser-vice anil excellency in performance of their tasks. Cummenement week activities started la.-t Thursday evening and will end tonight. This was an informal type of exercise w ith the graduat in' class members piesenting almost the entire program. pro-gram. Friday forenoon the Branch Agricultural Agri-cultural College graduation exercises exer-cises were held with sixty-one students stu-dents receiving diplomas, presented by Present Elmer G. Petersen of th Utah State Agricultural Col'oi'e. Ray E. Dillman, member cf the Board of Tru-tees of the state institution, in-stitution, delivered the address to tile graduates. Valedictory addresses were delivered by Miss Dorothy Bradsliaw of Cedar City and Lyle Robb of Paragonah. Friday afternoon a reception to the graduates, their parents, the faculty, trustees, and alumni was given by Director and Mrs. Henry Oberhansley at the L. D. S. Institute. Insti-tute. Twenty-six students were irrad-uated irrad-uated from the L. D. S. Institute of Religion at services Sunday nfter-noon, nfter-noon, The address to the graduates was delivered by Dr. M-. Sixty-seven students received diplomas, di-plomas, present by Stake President David L. Sargent. The annual Alumni Banquet and Ball was hel l last night, with the B. A. C. graduating cl.i.v, attending as honored guests. The final exercises of the week will be held tonight. wii'Mi the lirst graduating class of the ne.v Cedar City high school will be held in the public school auditorium. Seventy-five Seventy-five students will he included in this first graduating class. The high school exercises will be entirely informal, with each department depart-ment of the school participating in the program. |
