Show Fllis Urie, Local Aviator, Killed at Wellton, Arizona Word was received here this afternoon af-ternoon that Ellis Urie, 31, popular local aviator had been killed at Smiley Field in Arizona at aboi.t noon today, although no details as to how lie met lils deatli were given. Ell.s had gone to Smiley Field, at Wellton, Arizona, where he was receiving training as an aviation instructor, just two weeks ago. The young man had taken his flight instruction at Cedar City, and was one of the members of the Cedar City Aviation Club. He was considered as one of the most capable cap-able flyers to be trained here. Ellis was born in Cedar City on March Hi, 1911, a son of George K. and Mar;auiet Mackelprang Urie, and had rr.-ided here all his life. He is survived by his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Anderson, and Mrs. ArNita Webb, all of Cedar City. Eddie Anderson. Glen Froyd and R. E. Wlnterrose left late this afternoon af-ternoon to return the body to Cedar City for burial, |
