Show Assertive training classes offered Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. in the Bountiful office, 470 E. Medical Drive. It will be taught by Connie Chat Lin. The class for teens will help youth identify the difference between be-tween passive, aggressive and assertive asser-tive behavior. It will provide instruction, in-struction, discussion and practice in handling peer pressure, making and refusing requests, coping with criticism, developing self-esteem, expressing positive and negative emotions, and increasing communication com-munication skills, especially with parents. This class will begin March and will continue for seven Tuesday afternoons from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Layton office, 2250 N. 1700 West. Rhonda Feller will be the instructor. Two Assertive Training classes, one for adults and one for teens, will be sponsored by Davis County Mental Health. Enrollment is limited lim-ited and preregistration and payment pay-ment are required. The cost for either class is $32. The class for adults helps people acquire more self-respect and control con-trol over their lives without denying the rights and feelings of others.
