Show BMB ggSTOg Nathan R. Moon will be presented his Eagle Scout award at a special Court of Honor to be held Wednesday, Wednes-day, Feb. 20. At the age of 10 j Nam escaped Vietnam across Cambodia to a Thailand refugee camp, then came to the United States in 1986. At that time he became the foster son of Alan and ' r eluding soccer, baseball and basketball. basket-ball. Nam's Eagle project was the construction con-struction of flag staffs to be used by Centerville City along Main Street during the month of July. Twenty-seven Twenty-seven flags adorned the city last summer and will in the future as a result of his project. Nam wishes to thank his scout leaders Jay Daley, Fred Steinfels, Mark Allred, Glen Groll and Carl Zwhalen, who have helped him cam this award. Thanks also are due to coaches and others who have been an influence for good in his life since he came to Centerville. Nathan is the son of Randy and Susan Moon. He is a patrol leader in Troop 700 and a seventh grade honor student at Mueller Park Junior Ju-nior High. For his Eagle service project, r . 7.1 Ruth Schulz of Centerville. He is a ninth grade student at Centerville Junior High School and is the Davis School's District Junior High School 125-lb. wrestling champion. cham-pion. Nam is active in other sports in- Nathan organized a group of volunteers to clean up BLM land in Rush Valley near Tooele as part of the ' 'Take Pride in Utah Day. ' The court of honor will be held at the Bountiful 51st Ward at 800 E. 1800 S. at 7 p.m. Nam Van Tran received his Eagle Scout badge at a Court of Honor Feb. 17, at the Ricks Creek chapel in Centerville. He is a member of Varsity Varsi-ty Team 105. |
