Show VHS honors R. Frost years and was last produced in 1988 at Viewmont High. Concert Choir, Madrigals and Sound Ideas will be featured and will be joined by the Combined Choirs which this year number over 450 singers. The Viewmont Orchestra Or-chestra will accompany the Combined Com-bined Choirs on the final number ' ' Choose Something Like A Star. ' ' Because of the atmosphere which must be maintained during such a concert, no children under five will be admitted. Tickets are $2 for adults and $1.50 for students and may be obtained in advance or at the door. The Viewmont High School Choral Department, under the direction of Jeanne McGuire, will present a mid-winter concert Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the VHS auditorium. The choirs will present "Frostianna," a collection of poems by Robert Frost, which were set to music by contemporary choral composer Randall Thompson. Thomp-son. The concert will include such well known works as "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, ' "The Road Not Taken" and "The Telephone." In addition to the poems which will be sung by the choirs, many of Frost's other works will be read by McGuire. This concert has become a favorite of audiences over the |
