Show Officials seek input on park renovations NORTH SALT LAKE-The city council has reviewed a plan for suggested renovations to the main city park on Center Street, and is anxious to bear citizens' opinions on the proposal. The renovations will include a new conces s ionrecreation center which will house new restrooms, parks and recreation storage, and a concession area for use by Little A, bonding for 10 years and completing com-pleting the project right away, the increase in tax per year on a $75,000 home would be approximately approx-imately $30. Although this estimate may be high, the city does not want to have any 4 surprises' for residents if they choose Plan A. If the majority of residents prefer plan B, the city could complete the project in phases over an eight year period with no tax increase. Under this plan, the first phase, which would include building the new concessionrecreation center, could be started in the fall of 1991. City officials plan to notify residents by mail to ask for then-response then-response to the proposal. . , . : ; t i 1 rsj : i I l ! ' A rJ , i ; .-- b i t. The proposed park renovation would be the first step toward improving the city's image. The city council is interested in knowing if the residents would like the city to bond for the improvements im-provements and begin immediately, or complete the improvements without bonding. According to City Manager Collin Col-lin Wood, if the residents favor Plan The city is seeking citizen input on the means of financing the new park. This plan shows possible phases for completing the project. The phase plan could be used and implemented over an eight-year period as an alternative to bonding for the park and completing the project right away.
