Instead of just heading for a bag of chips or a candy bar, kids can enjoy preparing snacks that are wholesome and healthy as well as tasty. Afternoon snacks made with ready-to-eat cereal are quick and nutritious. Kids can create then-own then-own snacks or, with the help of a parent, make quick microwave recipes or bake cookies. In just a few minutes, nutritious snack bars can be mixed and microwaved. Cookies baked during the weekend will last all week, when portioned into zipper-lock freezer bags and frozen.
