Show Livestock feed tests to be conducted results and reviewing feeding programs. The mobile units equipment uses a technique called near-infared near-infared reflectance to test samples. According to Lynn Esplin, Iron County Extension Agent, three stops are planned: . -l p.m., Gayle Wood Farm in Parowan Valley; 3 p.m., Cedar LDS North Stake dairy, Minersville Road and Lund Highway ; and 4:30 p.m., Southern Utah State College valley farm. Hay producers, livestock and dairymen can have feed analyzed on the spot. The portable lab has the capacity of analyzing a feed and predicting its nutritive value in about two minutes. Anyone wishing to bring a feed sample to one of the locations should call the USU Extension Office for instructions on collecting the sample. Cost per sample test will be $5.
