Show ' , , - 111 ', HIM!'" jf " i: if Artist wins award PAROVAN--Curt Paulson, a Parowan artist recently received a merit award in the annual an-nual Deseret News Art Show for a painting he entered. The Art sShow is on display at the Salt Palace during the month of October. This is the second award that Paulson has received this year. He received an award from the Springville Art Exhibit last April for a different painting. Paulson was thrilled that he could receive two awards in one year. " It is a great honor to receive an award by your fellow artists," said Paulson. Since the awards his work is getting more recognition up north, he added. Paulson started pain ting on his own when he was fourteen. It wasn't until he went to college that he began taking art classes. His work is sell-motivated sell-motivated and creative. He doesn't like settings. He likes to mix moods locations, positions and objects into his paintings. He uses several slides of one object to create just the right feeling. |
