Show Literary Club holds first meeting PAROWAN-The Parown Ladies Literary Club held their first meeting at the home of Bertrude Mitchell Oct. 1. New officers were installed, in-stalled, a theme was chosen for the upcoming year and dinner was served. Officers for the 1980-81 year are Welly Bentley, president; Helen Stones, vice president; Roma Dalley, secretary and treasurer; Delia Gurr, assistant secretary; Zona ' Topham, historian; Eulala Orton, reporter; Alice Barton, parlimentarian; Anna Cox and Alice Haycock music chairmen. The club's theme for this year is the Sesquin-. centennial. Booklets were also handed out to the members. In the booklet, Jene Hendrickson had written a tribute to Melba Barton and Verda Adams who are deceased. Dinner was served prior to the meeting. Those on the dinner committee were Bertrude Ber-trude Mitchell, Helen Stones, Jene Hendrickson and Alice Baron. I |
