The girls are having a 1 Parowan spikers hot PAROWAN-The .j Parown High volleyball team gained another victory Oct. 7 as they j soundly defeated I Hurricane 15-1 and 15-3. According to Coach Owens the team thought ; Hurricane would be tough to beat. In an earlier game played against Hurricane, the scores were much closer, and Hurricane played better, continued Owens. "The girls are really playing like a close-knit team as their record of 5-1, 5-1, shows", said Owens. The team has won all five of its region games and lost one practice game to Cedar High. They face Beaver, Oct. 14, at Parowan. "This will be our toughest game as the last game with Beaver was close," continued Owens. "The girls are looking forward to a real workout against Beaver and should win if they work together," she concluded. On Oct . 15, they play at Enterprise. On Oct. 22, at 7:30 p.m.,- will be their last home game, against Milf'ord, tolore region playoffs which will be held Nov. 1, in Milford. "We have very good chances of taking region again this year," said Owens. |
