Chiefs take football title The Chiefs captured the Little League Football '. ..championship' Saturday as they squeezerd by the Spirits in a 12-8 victory. The Spirits scored in the first quarter on a 12-yard pass from Kim Blackner to Bob Blackner. The Chiefs came back to tie it up when Jeff Heap scored. In the second quarter the Spirits took the lead via a safety and held onto it until the fourth quarter when Jimmy Ipson The early game Saturday Satur-day saw the Cowboys overcoming the Trojans 27-25. The Cowboys scored six in the first quarter with a 25-yard end sweep by John Ferdinand. In the second quareter they really ran away with it with a 45-yard 45-yard pass from Troy Black to Curtis Jones for six, a two-yard run by Troy Black for six and the extra point by Curtis scored for the Chiefs and time ran out for the Spirits. The Cowboys won it in the fourth on a !i yard pass from Kurt Lambeth to Ferdinand, and the extra point kick good lor two points. Earlier in the week the Spirits had deleated tthe Trojans Ki-ti.
