Show i j Programs to begin "Shadows of the Nuclear Age: American Culture and the Bomb," a series ; of weekly programs examining the bomb and its effect on modern society is being aired over KGSU-FM, the Southern Utah State' College radio station. "This highly in-formative in-formative and educational series is being broadcast Wednesdays Wed-nesdays at 4:30 p.m. as a public service over the SUSC communications department station," said Lance Jackson, KGSU-FM technician. Opening broadcasts recapture the difficulty and drama of the early years of the Cold War and nuclear arms race, Jackson said, with later broadcasts dealing with the current controversy over SALT II and the MX missile. Each broadcast examines how the bomb has affected different aspects of American culture; our history, psychology, film, language, literature, economy, values, and the very way we think and live. |
