Show New Castle BY NORMA CHRISTENSEN Record Correspondent Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Christiansen of Cedar City were visitors last week at the home of their son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Christiansen. George Beacham and his son, Layne, flew to Anchorage, Alaska, last week. They will stay there for about six weeks at the home of George's brother, Dr. W. Sherman Beacham, and his family. George is a carpenter and will be building some projects there for Sherman. George reported Sunday that the temperature is about 34 degrees, and there is a foot of snow there already. Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Chamberlain and family and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Chamberlain, all of Cedar City visited last week at the home of their daughter and granddaughter grand-daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Steve (Deb) Christensen. All three families enjoyed a day of pine nut picking. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Christensen traveled to Moab to visit their daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Dave (Janice) Campbell. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Larsen recently traveled to Las Vegas, Nev., on a combined business and pleasure trip. Mrs. Arthella Taylor of Fillmore has been visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carma Beacham. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Boon of Riverside, Calif., visited this week with Boyd and Russell Christensen and their families. Kirk Tullis and little daughter, Jennifer, of Orem visited this week at the home of his folks, Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Tullis. Miss Sue Gardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malin Gardner was home for the weekend. Sue has graduated from Evans Cosmetology College in St. George and is now employed in that city. |
