Show Dixie College Play To Be Presented In Auditorium Wednesday The Dixie college competitive stu-dentbody stu-dentbody play, "No Women Wanted", Wan-ted", will be presented in the college col-lege auditorium next Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock. The play, an unusual one, will be directed by Miss Mrytle Henderson. The scene takes place in the cabin of a real outdoor he-man. The title of the play indicates that he is a woman hater. But these women have ways of their own, and this is interestingly revealed in the unique comedy plot . The comedy characters include Alpine Shirts,, who participated in the Fine Arts Festival play, and who was prominent in the comedy, com-edy, "Baby Mine", last year. He is listed as the woman hater. Shirl Evans, who has had dramatic experience ex-perience in Parowan, is a likable young man hunted by the women. Grant Cottam, who has appeared in several dramatic performances, is the older character in the play. His brother, :Alvin, interprets a comedy character. Roma Nissoh, senior class president, presi-dent, has a lead as the woman who won't be hated. Joyce Lowe shows remarkable promise as a South American flapper, if the word is appropriate. Gwen Sylvester Syl-vester and Florence Beatty, coeds co-eds from Hurricane, also contribute contrib-ute to the success of the comedy. Outdoor life furniture is being made by the woodwork boys under the direction of Charles N. Merk-ley. Merk-ley. A new device, a wind machine, ma-chine, has also been constructed by the boys, and will add much to the atmosphere of the comedy. Members of the Omega Delta fraternity will usher at the play. Reserved seats may be obtained at the college office. |
