Show Rodney Ashby To Head St. George C. of C. For Coming Year Rodney Ashby was elected president presi-dent of the St. George Chamber of Commerce at a reorganization meeting held last night by board members of the organization. E. Eric Snow was elected vice president, presi-dent, and Laron Andrus was reelected re-elected secretary. Plans for the membership drive and coming year's program were discussed. Following a discussion of the membership drive Antone Neilson of Washington and J. Claud Frel of Santa Clara were appointed to handle the drive in their communities. com-munities. E. Eric Snow, Hyrum Thomas and Edith Milne were to direct the drive for business and professional memberships here, while Vivian Milne and Walter Moss were in charge of the drive to Fccure all other memberships. The committee members are to report back on Wednesday, Feb. 11 regarding their plans for the membership drive and the drive is jlated to get underway on Monday, Mon-day, Feb. 16. The meeting opened on an enthusiastic en-thusiastic note with all representatives representa-tives being present. Board member'; mem-ber'; showed projects which the organization may undertake. A discussion was held relative to the change to War Time at the request of. the Mayor and Superintendent Milton K. Moody. The conclusion of the group was that St. George, Washington and Santa Clara should conform with the rest of the nation. |
