Show BUNKERVILLE, Nev. Mrs. Mary II. Leavitt Reporter CTair Neagli left for Fort Douglas to join the Army on Saturday. A farewell party was given in his honor last week. His many friends and relatives presented him with a pen and pencil set. Mrs. Ruth Neagli, his mother, accompanied him as far as Las Vegas. Warren Hardy spent most of last week in Las Vegas acting as justice of the peace in the absence ab-sence of Judge Mahlon Brown. Home missionaries last Sunday were Karl Wittwer, recently returned re-turned missionary and E 1 d o n Leavitt, both of Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Hardy and Dudley Leavitt, all of Boulder City, were visitors over Sunday here. Mr. and Mrs. Hardy have purchased a home in Boulder City. The Seminary class presented the program in M. I. A. conjoint meeting Sunday evening. Miss Norma Horslev. president of the class, conducted the exercises, which consisted of: Reading by Miss Norma Tobler; retold story by Miss Elethra Leavitt; "What Seminary Means To Me", by Mrs. Vincent Leavitt; "Salavation and Exhaltation", by Vern Waite. In closing" the class sang two. songs. Word has been received by Mrs. Rose Abbott of the serious illness of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Brent Abbott, of Reno. She has a new baby and is critically ill. Mrs. Abbott is the former Miss Norma Webb of St. George. |
