Show Miss Janice Schmutz Entertained Here By Friends and Relatives In anticipation of her approaching approach-ing marriage to Roy Nisson, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Nisson of Washington, Miss Janice Schmutz has furnished the motive for various vari-ous entertainments during the past two weeks, including family diners, parties and showers. She is the daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Wilford Schmutz of this city, and will be married in the St. George Temple on the afternoon of Saturday, Feb. 7, with Pres. Harold S. Snow officiating. Mr. Nisson is to arrive Saturday Satur-day morning from Glendale, Calif., where he is employed in the defense de-fense program. A family dinner will honor the couple following their marriage Saturday afternoon, and they plan to leave early Sun-i Sun-i day for Glendale, where they will reside. On Monday evening the groom's sisters, Miss Phyllis Nisson and Mrs. Clark Frei, entertained a large group of Washington and St. George relatives at the Nisson home in Washington. On Wednesday evening the Mt. States Telephone operators were hostesses at a shower given at the home of Miss ' Enid Webb. A program of games preceded luncheon lunch-eon after which the bride opened the gifts. As she was seated for this purpose, she was deluged with rice from a heart-shaped box suspended from the chandelier. Musical numbers included trios by Helen Pectol, Jane Pace and Enid Webb with Miss Laurel Brinkerhoff accompanist. |
