Show Funeral Services Held Here Thursday For Mrs. Jane Everett Moody Bishop Andrew McArthur conducted con-ducted the funeral services held in the St. George stake . Tabernacle at 3 p. m., Thursday, Jan. 29, for Mrs. Jane Everett Moody, who died at an early hour last Wednesday Wed-nesday (Jan. 25) at her home following fol-lowing a prolonged illness from heart trouble. The program numbers num-bers complied with the written request re-quest made by Mrs. Moody prior to her death. Musical numbers included quartets, quar-tets, "Will There Be Any Stars In My Crown", and "God Be With You 'Till We Meet Again", by Mary Lou Schmutz, Adrene Cot-tarn, Cot-tarn, Stanley Schmutz and Leland Lamoreaux; violin solo, "Lead Kindly Light", Mrs. Vera Christian Christ-ian and Ada Cannon accomany-ing, accomany-ing, and vocal solo, "Shall We Meet Beyond the River". Speakers were W. B. Mathis and Pres. Harold S. Snow. Both speakers told of their long association as-sociation with the family and paid high tribute to both Mr. and Mrs. Moody for their good lives as evidenced evi-denced in the rearing of an exceptional ex-ceptional family, giving them the best they could in educational advantages, ad-vantages, and religious training. The success they have achieved with their family is attributed to their own way of life, understanding under-standing the sacred duties of parenthood, par-enthood, and of giving their moral support to civic and national progress, prog-ress, and making their home a center of love, kindness, friendliness friendli-ness and religious sincerity. Brief concluding remarks were made by Bishop McArthur who expressed appreciation to this family for their loyal support in ward and community activities and thanked all who assisted with the services. Prayers were by James McArthur Mc-Arthur and Leo A. Snow. Burial was in the city cemetery, with George E. Miles . dedicating the grave. |
