Show TOQUERYILLE Mrs. Kowena W. Slack Reporter (Too late for last week) The Ladies' Sewing club met at the home of Mrs. Helen Denton. Mrs. Fern Bringhurst was co-hostess. co-hostess. Martin Anderson returned Sunday Sun-day from Logan, where he attended at-tended the AAA convention. Sunday afternoon the Trail Builders of the Primary held their Red Letter day. The program consisted of: Song, the Trekkers; talk, Jimmie Beatty; song, Trail Builders; talk, Dennis Beatty; talk, Lloyd Olds; song, Primary children; prayer, Claud Parkinson. Parkin-son. Mrs. Katharine Thurston of Salt Lake City spent Saturday and Sunday at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Slack. Chester Adams, who has been working at Long Beach, Calif., is here visiting his family. Mrs. Woodrow Stapley left on Wednesday for Long Beach to visit her husband, who is employed em-ployed there. Mrs Anna Laura Anderson visited vis-ited over the week end at Cedar City. Mrs. L. S. Kleinman and daughter, daugh-ter, Wilma and Buelah, entertained enter-tained Monday evening at a friendship shower for Mrs. Leslie Bringhurst. Morris Bringhurst of Cedar City is visiting relatives and friends here. This Week's News Toquerville has had quite a bit of sickness since Christmas, especially es-pecially among the children. About one-third of the students are out with measles. Mr. King and Mrs. Agusta Wood of the stake genealogy committee visited in Sunday school here Sunday morning. Miss Ethel Beatty of Pintura is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Olds. A pre-school clinic is being held at the schoolhouse Tuesday morning morn-ing with Dr. Mclntyre and the nurse, Miss Kerns, in charge. |
