Show LaVERKIN Pansy L. Hardy Reporter Mrs. Mary Hardy, May Gubler, LaVina Segler, Myrtle Segler, Harriet Woodbury and Minnie Wilson of the Crystal Cave camp of the D.U.P. attended the D.U.P. convention held at St. George on April 19. A number of our townspeople attended the P.-T. A. meeting at Hurricane on April 17. An enjoyable en-joyable program was presented by members of the high school chorus and members of the band. A very fine talk on the control of cancer can-cer was given by Dr. Clark Mc-Intyre. Mc-Intyre. . The rest of the evening was spent in dancing. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served. Keele Hardy is being transferred from training headquarters in Salt Lake City to a camp in California according to word received here by his parents. Mr. Hardy reports re-ports that everything is fine, "If only we don't have to go to Germany". While cutting wood Thursday, Leonard Hardy had the misfortune to get a splinter in his right eye. Most of the splinter was removed by Dr. Mclntyre, and his eye is reported to be improving as well as can be expected. A group of young people from LaVerkin attended the music festival fes-tival at St. George on April 19. Mrs. Locee of Provo is staying at the Dixie Hot Springs for her health. Mrs. Juanita Brooks reviewed "Giant Joshua" in Relief Society here Tuesday. A large crowd was present to hear this novel. |
