Show Airport Dedication Planned for May 10th and 11th Over 500 Letters Have Been Received To 'Air-Mail' From Here Plans for the public airport dedication dedi-cation program are rapidly taking tak-ing shape, it was announced today to-day by Lee Owens, airport manager. man-ager. The program is slated to start at 6:30 p.m., on Saturday, May 10 and continue with an entire en-tire morning's program on Sunday. Sun-day. "Reports coming to us indicate that interest is being shown in this dedication program by pilots all over the country. Over 500 letters have been received to be mailed from here via air mail on that date," reports Mr. Owens. He added that pilots are expected to attend the program from all over Utah. Following is the program as outlined at this time: Saturday, May 10, 6:30 p.m., dinner for airplane pilots and their friends. Dance in hangar at 8 p. m., with everyone invited. Sunday, 8 a. m., breakfast for visiting pilots and their friends. Air Events Various contests will be held starting at 9 a. m., with a spot landing contest. This is for private priv-ate pilots and carries three prizes. At 10 a. m., there will be a bomb dropping contest. Both privates and commercial pilots may enter. There are three prizes for the winners. At 11 a. m., the ribbon cutting contest will be held with three prizes being offered commercial com-mercial pilots. |
