Show BUNKERYILLE Mrs. Mary H. Leavitt Reporter Thirteen men left this morning for a month's work on a mine down near Bonella's Ferry. This is a government project and may develop into something permanent. The high school band is out every morning practicing marching march-ing and playing. They are to attend at-tend the Helldorado at Las Vegas in May. D. Henry Leavitt celebrated his seventy-first birthday anniversary on April 19. All his children who live near here came in to visit him. Those who were here were Melvin Leavitt of Alamo, Mr. and Mrs. William Brooks and Mrs. Walter J. Miles of St. George, Mr. and Mrs. Dudley M. Leavitt of Boulder City, Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Frehner, Mr. and Mrs. Laurel E. Leavitt of Mesquite. Mrs. George Truman of Enterprise Enter-prise visited her mother, Mrs. Ella Leavitt on Sunday. Mrs. Betsy Hardy of St. George is visiting her children here this week. Her son, Warren Hardy, has been confined to his bed with an infected foot for the past month, and is now able to get around again. |
